Every other hammock chair we make starts with the same question: where are you going to hang it? The Jumbo Caribbean Recliner doesn't ask. The Siberian larch arc stand comes with it, so all you need is four feet of flat ground — no tree standing in a convenient spot, no ceiling joist, no drilling, no conversation with a landlord. Set it on a deck, a patio, or the corner of a living room and it's ready.

The sling is the same one we hang on our 55-inch Jumbo Caribbean Hammock Chair: our micro-weave, worked tight enough that the surface stays smooth under you and your weight spreads across the whole bed instead of a few strands. The 6.5-foot bed is the part people underestimate — you're not perched on an edge with your feet dangling. Pull the spare material under your legs, lean back, and it stops being a chair.

The hardware is deliberately oversized. Thirty-six heavy end cords share the load, and every connection runs through a jumbo stainless steel ring rather than ordinary hardware. The stand is Siberian larch — slow-grown, resin-dense, tight-grained — which is why it takes a season outdoors without fuss.

  • Hand-woven from soft-spun polyester cord in fourteen colors
  • Siberian larch arc stand included — no trees, beams, or drilling
  • 6.5 ft micro-weave bed doubles as a full-length footrest
  • 36 heavy end cords and jumbo stainless steel rings
  • Weather-resistant and built to stay outdoors all season
  • 300-pound capacity
  • Stand measures 63 in wide, 70 in high, 48 in deep
  • Needs about 4 ft square of flat ground

How it's made

One weaver makes one bed, start to finish, at home, on a technique handed down through generations of net makers. It takes about twelve hours and roughly ten times the cord of an ordinary hammock chair. The bed comes back to us for finishing and inspection — end cords, clew knot, rings. Slow, and the reason it feels the way it does.

Already have somewhere to hang it? The Recliner Sling on its own. Need only the stand? The Recliner Stand. Or a chair that hangs from a beam or a tree: the 55-inch Jumbo Caribbean Hammock Chair, the 48-inch Large Caribbean Hammock Chair, and the 40-inch Island Haven Hammock Chair.

Highlights

CARRYING CAPACITY

The Jumbo Caribbean Recliner is large and spacious; it has a carrying capacity of 300lbs, plenty of shoulder room, and enough material in the body to accommodate up to 6.5 feet.

WOOD

Siberian Larch is the perfect wood for a hammock stand. Siberian Larch is high in resin and natural extracts and boasts superb natural defense against the outside elements. This timber is built to cope with the harsh Siberian climate and is well suited to exterior applications. Because of its slow growth, Siberian Larch wood has incredibly tight growth rings and a strong grain. A high-quality stain accentuates the striking grain pattern, making the wood a distinguished and sought-after design choice.

WEAVE STYLE

The secret to the unsurpassed comfort of the Jumbo Caribbean Recliner is our micro-weave bed. We use over ten times as much cord as a typical hammock chair, spreading your weight over a much larger surface area. The micro-weave will stretch and flex around you, making a perfect pocket of comfort and also opening up for air circulation.

HAND WOVEN

Each Jumbo Caribbean Recliner Sling is a work of art, lovingly hand woven, taking about 12 hours to complete. Our all-woman workforce has years of experience and knows exactly how to make a perfectly balanced hammock chair.

WEATHER RESISTANT

We use soft-spun polyester cords, Siberian Larch Wood, and stainless steel hardware to make our hammocks weatherproof so you can leave them outdoors for the entire hammock season. Please store indoors for wintertime.
