The Island Oasis Hammock is approximately 12 feet long and 55 inches wide. For optimal comfort and proper use, a hanging distance of 13 feet or more is recommended to allow for the natural stretch and sag of the hammock when occupied.
The most traditional way to hang a hammock is between two sturdy trees spaced 13 to 20 feet apart. Secure the hammock using ropes or tree friendly straps wrapped around each trunk. If the distance between the trees is greater than needed, use rope or chain to adjust the length.
The Perfect Setup
For a dedicated hammock space, install two sturdy 6x6 posts approximately 13 feet or more apart. Once the posts are securely anchored, use the included hammock suspension kit to hang your hammock safely and enjoy the perfect place to relax.
No Trees? No Posts? No Problem. If you don't have trees or posts, simply pair your hammock with one of our high-quality hammock stands. Designed to fit this hammock perfectly, our stands make it easy to create a comfortable place to relax almost anywhere.
