  • Dimensions

    The Island Escape Hammock is approximately 12 feet long and 55 inches wide. For optimal comfort and proper use, a hanging distance of 13 feet or more is recommended to allow for the natural stretch and sag of the hammock when occupied.

  • Between Trees

    The most traditional way to hang a hammock is between two sturdy trees spaced 13 to 20 feet apart. Secure the hammock using ropes or tree friendly straps wrapped around each trunk. If the distance between the trees is greater than needed, use rope or chain to adjust the length.

  • Two Posts

    The perfect setup for a dedicated hammock space, install two sturdy 6x6 posts approximately 13 feet or more apart. Once the posts are securely anchored, use the included hammock suspension kit to hang your hammock safely and enjoy the perfect place to relax.

  • Hammock Stands

    Whether hung corner to corner or along one side, an arbor or gazebo can be the perfect place to enjoy your hammock. Look for two sturdy posts that are at least 13 feet apart, then use the included hanging kit to securely install your hammock.

The Island Escape Hammock has a compact design, but it still requires at least 13 feet of space between two secure hanging points for proper installation. If you have 13 feet or more, you'll be able to hang it comfortably.
The Island Escape Hammock is spacious and comfortable for one person, with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. It's also cozy enough for two average-sized adults and has a generous weight capacity of 400 lbs.
Yes. From the stainless steel O-rings to the varnished spreader bars and durable polyester rope, every component of this hammock is designed to withstand the elements. While it is built for outdoor performance, we recommend storing it during winter, extended periods of severe weather, or when it will not be used for long periods to help preserve its beauty and extend its lifespan.
Yes, the Island Escape Hammock is compatible with all of our hammock stands, including our 13-foot and 15-foot Triple Beam Stands, as well as our 13-foot Wooden Arc Stand.
It's possible, but unlikely. The Island Escape Hammock is artisan-crafted and engineered to be significantly more stable than most traditional rope hammocks. When properly hung with a gentle curve, it offers a secure and well-balanced lounging experience. For optimal comfort and safety, adjust the hammock so that, when occupied, its lowest point is no more than 18 inches above the ground
